I found the whole experience with Mark an easy and accommodating process. There were a number of matters arising from the booking to the end and I felt Mark was very helpful throughout. Firstly, there was an issue of the campervan needing some work completing - Mark offered alternatives and was happy when I stuck with my original choice. He completed the works with no issues or stress. Then I had a difficulty with my timings due to other concerns, again, Mark worked with me, allowing me the keys and giving me access to collect as I needed it. Given this delay in our trip start, Mark kindly offered to extend the time at the end of the agreement if I wished it. The campervan itself is 'old school' and a great van with a sound motor and good drive. It was Covid cleaned and tidy, functional and working well. As a future learning, some of the features of the van could have been explained in more detail, I worked it all out, but finding the horn was fun - obvious in the end! Also when filling up, I recognised I hadn't confirmed that it was petrol - perhaps a crib-sheet could be added for future reference? Thankyou very much Mark - it was perfect for our occasion.

Begbie was the perfect home on wheels for the two of us and our 5 month old during our week in the Yorkshire Dales. An attractive head turner and cosy and comfy inside. Drove well for a vintage van. Mark was a pleasure to deal with as well. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. A great introduction to campervanning for us and we will definitely be doing it again.
A fun and memorable way to celebrate a 21st birthday. We hired Begbie for 4 days and visited friends and family. Begbie provided a wonderful vintage experience. We shared afternoon teas in the sympathetically restored van. The van has such an authentic feel transporting us back to 1968. The van is reliable starting first time every time. Mark, the owner, is knowledgeable and very helpful. Excellent communication. Would highly recommend.
